NAIOP Membership SCHOLARSHIP Opportunity - The James Mitchell Presidential Scholarship
In celebration and support of James Mitchell for his years of service to NAIOP Piedmont Triad, we are proud to sponsor a full NAIOP membership for (1) year.
DETAILS
Scholarship is open to anyone of any age currently employed in the commercial real estate industry.
A full membership scholarship includes:
- (1) year of NAIOP Membership sponsored by the chapter (NAIOP membership is national, so membership includes access to NAIOP Corporate and NAIOP Piedmont Triad resources).
- Recognition at a NAIOP Piedmont Triad Luncheon + digital recognition
- Complimentary attendance at NAIOP Piedmont Triad luncheons
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION & Criteria
- Applicants must be currently employed in CRE or do work in the CRE industry. Applicants company is not required to be a current NAIOP member.
- Membership Scholarship is available for up to (1) winner a year.
- The NAIOP board will review applications and notify winners.
- NAIOP will work with scholarship winners to ensure profiles are set up.
- Winners are expected (but not required) to attend regular NAIOP events.
- Applications for a 2026 membership are open. Deadline to apply is November 30
NAIOP DEVELOPING LEADERS SCHOLARSHIP Opportunities
Supporting the next generation of CRE professionals is a top priority for NAIOP Piedmont Triad. We are proud to sponsor a Developing Leaders Scholarship to increase awareness of NAIOP and help advance the careers of young professionals (age 35 and under).
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
The NAIOP Piedmont Triad Developing Leaders Scholarship offers (2) options to apply for (a Developing Leaders membership or a NAIOP NC Conference Registration)
A membership scholarship includes:
- (1) year of NAIOP Membership sponsored by the chapter (NAIOP membership is national, so membership includes access to NAIOP Corporate and NAIOP Piedmont Triad resources.
- Assigned NAIOP mentor from the current chapter board of directors.
- Recognition at a NAIOP Piedmont Triad Luncheon + digital recognition
- Complimentary attendance at NAIOP Piedmont Triad luncheons + DL events.
A NAIOP NC Conference scholarship includes:
- (1) NAIOP NC Conference Registration + (1) night hotel & mileage. The 2026 NAIOP NC Conference will be held February 25-27, 2026. Click here for Conference details.
- DL Connector -pairing with mentor or other scholarship winners at conference
- Recognition at a NAIOP Piedmont Triad Luncheon + digital recognition
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION & Process
Criteria and process for DL Scholarship include
- Complete the application by November 30. Tell us why you want to join NAIOP NC Chapter (or attend the NAIOP NC conference). Managing supervisor signature required. Complete application, headshot, and bio returned via email to [email protected]. Applicants must be currently employed and aged 35 and under. Applicants company is not required to be a current NAIOP member. If applying for the conference registration, current DL membership is required.
- Membership Scholarship is available for up to (5) winners for 2026; Conference registration is available for (1) winner and hotel accommodations are based on availability.
- The NAIOP board will review applications and notify winners by Monday, January 26, 2026.
- NAIOP will work with conference scholarship winner to ensure registration at NAIOP NC Conference; hotel accommodations are based on availability.
- Winners are expected (but not required) to attend regular NAIOP events.
- Developing Leaders scholarship winners are not eligible for DEI student scholarships
- If selected, ID is required for proof of age by NAIOP Corporate.
