    Two members of Senator Tillis’ economic and banking team, Ryan Adam and Sam Lupas, will share relevant updates from the latest COVID relief package. The focus of this briefing will be on economic relief measures, specifically, small business assistance, rental relief, and other measures to support individuals and the broader economy during the pandemic.

    Ryan Adam – Legislative Assistant | The Office of Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC)

    Ryan Adam currently serves as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Thom Tillis covering the economic, business, banking, tax, and trade policy portfolio.  In this capacity, Mr. Adam serves as the lead staffer for Senator Tillis on the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Development (Banking), of which Senator Tillis is a member.

    Prior to working as a Legislative Assistant, Mr. Adam was a Legislative Correspondent for Senator Tillis covering the same issue set.  Prior to that, he served as a Staff Assistant to Senator Tillis.  Mr. Adam has been with Senator Tillis’ office for four and a half years.

    Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Mr. Adam holds a B.A. for the University of South Carolina in political science.

     

    Sam Lupas – Legislative Correspondent | The Office of Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC)

    Sam Lupas currently serves as a Legislative Correspondent to Senator Thom Tillis covering the economic, business, banking, tax, and trade policy portfolio. In this capacity, Mr. Lupas serves under Ryan Adam covering these issues for Senator Tillis on the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Development (Banking), of which Senator Tillis is a member. In addition to the Banking Committee portfolio, Mr. Lupas also works on a team covering education, infrastructure, transportation and economic development issues for Senator Tillis.

    Prior to working as a Legislative Correspondent, Mr. Lupas was a Staff Assistant to Senator Tillis. Prior to that, he served as a Loan Operations Analyst at MidCap Financial, a specialty finance firm that operates as a subsidiary of Apollo Global Management, Inc. Mr. Lupas has been with Senator Tillis’ office for two years.

    Originally from Cashiers, North Carolina, Mr. Lupas holds a BSBA in finance with a minor in political science from Auburn University.
